I disagree with the spending less time together idea. Whoever gave you that advice is terrible wrong. Spending time away from the person you love most just makes things worse.

Maybe you both have strong personalities. It seems like you both are a little selfish and can't give up your opinions. For example, one of your personalities is at the North Pole while one of you is at the South Pole, at totally opposite ends of the earth. I am in no way saying that it is wrong to be polar opposites, opposition is often what leads to many marriages, but in some cases opposition is caused by too similar of personalities. If you both are strongly opinionated and refuse to give up your views on things, that may be something you need to work on. Less fighting, more loving. Think about your relationship, the attraction that brings you together at the Equator, and not the polarization that separates you.

As I have said before, communication is key in every relationship - speak to your girlfriend, sit down, and work out what needs to happen. As long as you guys are able to communicate calmly and effectively, then things should go fairly swimmingly. Good luck.
