It makes sense that people would do the most dating during the summer when school is out but I would think that you would meet the people you date during the school year because usually, people you date you meet in school.
That being said, I don't see how its likely somebody would meet somebody else to date during the summer. They might do the most dating during the summer but the people they date during the summer would be people they meet during the school year in school. So it makes sense people would go out on dates the most in the summer but would hook up the most in school. Why would there be much meeting and hooking up during the summer?

Your post contradicts itself.

You're implying that most dates would occur during the summer, yet implying there wouldn't be any chance to meet people in the summer.

Either way;

Summer is the best time to go out and meet people. People who don't know you, people from parties, road trips or whatever. I've never dated someone from my school, every single one of my ex girlfriends I met outside of school and usually during the various holidays.

I understand the hooking up part, however, it doesn't really have to do with the amount of time you have, it's usually the personality that decides if someone wants to date or hook up. Hook ups occur more often then you think, maybe it's different where you live though.

What Im saying is you would do the most dating during the summer but the people you date during the summer would be people you met during the school year in school and who you hooked up with in school. During the summer you would have the most time to "go out on dates," going to the mall, movies, ect. but, the person you go out on dates with would be somebody you met in school and who you became an item with when school was on.
