That link is to a TED Talks about internet porn addiction. It is NON-explicit. It's really informative about the psychological and mental effects of having an Internet porn addiction. In case you don't know, TED Talks is an organization that basically features a presenter/speaker talking about a pressing topic or subject on the world whether it'd be women's rights, quantum physics, to cameras that can capture the movement of photons. I just wanted to let anyone know if they are interested.

Do i agree that it is possible to have an addiction to porn?, yea i do. But in most cases, calling it an "addiction" is a long shot. Like in this instance, most of my friends jack off 3-6 times a day, and they all do so while they are watching porn. Just because someone watches porn a lot and just because someone watches porn every time they jack off, that doesn't mean that they are addicted to it. To me (and to all of my friends and to almost everyone that i have discussed this matter with), an addiction is something that interferes with your life. An example of this is, like an addiction to masturbation. If you jack off like 3-8 times a day, but you do not like stop everything that you are doing just so that you can jack off, then that is not an addiction. But if you are like hanging out with your friends and then you purposely stop hanging out with them for like an hour or two just so that you can go and jack off, then that is an addiction. Another example is smoking, vaping, hookah, etc.. I go to a very rich public high school. And many (actually almost everyone) at my school does drugs. Because, you know, if you give a teenager money and power, then chances are they will do drugs, and the more richer the kids are at the school, then the more drugs they can buy. But as i was saying, many of my friends do drugs. To be more specific, they vape (also known as an e-cig). Vape was made to be "safer" than regular cigarettes. Mainly because vape doesn't have many of the toxic chemicals that cigarettes have. And, what are the two main ingredients in vape?, they are nicotine (a exremely addictive drug) and flavored water. Now, nicotine interferes with most of my friends lives, most of them often have to stop what they are doing just so that they can vape so that they can get their nicotine fix. I have honestly tried vaping a few times. And because i am OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), i already obsessive over the most random stuff, so nicotine has little to no effect on me at all. But yea, smoking, vaping, drugs, etc., is an example of an addiction. One of my friends, for instance, is trying to come off the drug known as weed. And his body is reacting violently to that because his body has come to the point where it thinks that it needs weed to survive. Porn is not an example of this. So, even though i do believe that it is possible to get addicted to porn, i still however, believe that it is very very very very hard to get addicted to it.

What SethfromMI is correct. It's ok to watch, but we just can't let it get too far into our lives where its addicting. And we shouldn't let it allow us to believe that it's more real than a visual aid. It's just entertainment. It's like alcohol, cigs, and shit. It's ok, really, just don't abuse it or let it control your life

I've never heard of a porn addiction. Not to be rude, but I've always thought of that just being called having no social life. :P

But as with anything, I guess you can get addicted
