What is the legal age for sex in your country/state?
Also mention if you want the age at which you had sex.

Well it's really confusing for my state. Obviously the legal age is 18. However when Age Of Consent comes into play, the legal age is 16, and above. Meaning that anyone, who's at least 16, can legally have sex with anyone 16+, AS LONG as they are not related or a figure of authority.(I.e teacher, coach, ECT)
The confusing thing about it was, that it said that in the state of Georgia, it's illegal to have sex unless you are married to that person. It's probably not right but it's confusing still.

For my country it is 14, but it can be difficult if the partner is over 21. If you are 16 there are no problems with older partners.

A run down of sex related laws around my place. (May have changed recently):
Age of majority: 18(Legally an adult)
Age of Consent: 16(As in, you can have sex with an older aged partner as long as its consensual and not someone in a position of authority over you.)
At 14, you can "Legally" have a sexual relationship with someone within 1 year age difference from yourself.
I lost my virginity when I was 13.

It's 18 federally, but at 16 you can have sex with anyone less than 7 years older. 15 and under is statutory rape.
I had sex when I was exactly 16.5, to the day XD

People say it's 17, and 16 just across the boarder in RI. I don't think it really matters though, as long as you don't tell anyone o.O

Pretty sure it's sixteen. But then there's different laws for homosexuals for some odd reason, or at least there was when I was doing citizenship classes a few years back.

"New York law states that a person less than 17 years of age is legally incapable of consenting to sexual intercourse or other sexual contact."
Also mention if you want the age at which you had sex.

I think its pretty much the same in my state here in the US; I lost my virginity when I was 12.

Here in Massachusetts my understanding is that the age of consent is 16, as long as your partner is within 5 years of your age (but obviously not below 16). Anyways, it really doesn't matter, and for a crime like consensual sex a parent would have to press charges.

In Canada I believe sex with anyone major is at 18 minimum, but there is the age of consent for minors, which I believe is to be 2 years. (So if you're 15 you can have sex with someone from 13 to 17)

Here's how I interpret my State's laws on this: The age of consent is 18 and it's illegal to have sex with someone under 18 unless you are married to them. But if it's an age difference of 3 years or less, then it's only a misdemeanour.

According to what I can find online, in North Carolina it's 16 and with a 4 year age gap consideration. With exceptions for those under the age of 13 (can't consent to any age), and teachers (can't with any school-age student).

In Colorado, age of consent is 17. I first had sex at 16. Most people I know lost it anywhere from 16-18.

In my state it is 17, I don't think it should be lowered to the age I first had sex with a boy (13) because that is definitely not an appropriate age for a full grown adult to be able to have sex with

Here, it's prohibited up to 14.
But teens unter 14 aren't accountable.

The legal age for sex here is 18 in California, the same age I first had sex. It's kind of a gray area sometimes, though. The law says it can be lenient if there is barely an age difference, i.e. 18 having sex with 17. It's just all about the legal definition of what age is considered being an adult, but the law can be somewhat lenient for anything within 1 or 2 years difference between each other regarding "consensual sex" i.e. 19 with 17.

Where I live the age of consent is 16. It is also legal is both parties are over 12 and there is less than a two year age gap. If you sleep with someone under 16 but you had good reason to believe they were over 16 you are excused. And more disturbingly, if you have reason to believe you are married to someone between the age of 12 and 16 you can legally sleep with them.

In Florida the age of consent is 18 but there's close-age exceptions for ages 16-17. You can't legally consent before the age of 16, but in practice nobody is going to arrest a 16-year-old for having sex with their 15-year-old partner.

Okay, here in England, legal age is sixteen, however you are allowed it below that age, and thirteen is the cut off point for that. Otherwise, you can be prosecuted. But you can be prosecuted if you are 18 and the person you have intercourse with is below 16, because you technically cannot give legal consent :/

The law states that in England Scotland and Wales its a criminal offence to have sex below 16, so at 13 its still against the law

I just found out that age of consent is 18 in the state of Wisconsin.
However I might be moving to Michigan where the age of consent is 16 with a two year difference, so you can technically have legally sex at 14 there

That's right, they won't prosecute you because the individual and baby would need a lot of support and by prosecuting it wouldn't help and would cause more problems eg where would the go

16 in the UK - there are a couple of tricky rules and regs to that though.
Sex with a girl under 13 is rape - no questions.
There's something about over 18s having sex with under 16s I THINK.
