Ok so almost 2 nights ago I lost my virginity to my boyfriend and I've heard about "popping your cherry" before but I was wondering how long it bleeds for? Straight afterwards I had a little blood (like spotting kind of) but now today it's actually bleeding like a light period. My period is not due for another 2 weeks! I was wondering if this is from losing my virginity (he was pretty big and it hurt a lot) or whether I have my period 2 weeks early? Thanks

If your periods are usually abnormal, I would suggest waiting a few days to see if you keep bleeding, if you do chances are it's just an early period.

But if your periods are usually regular and you don't think you should be getting a period at this time you may want to consider going to a doctor if the bleeding persists.

Just try to take it easy in the time being, and watch for any abnormalities like severe pain in that area etc.

I wish I could be of more help but I'm a virgin so I have no experience in this stuff.

Similar thing happened to me but mine was with a big sex toy that I borrowed off an older friend. I bled for a couple of days and then it eased off. Just keep an eye on it and ensure you wash there regularly.
