I need desperate help.

ok, so heres the deal.

I am a sophomore in Highschool, whom is extremely nice to everyone, and is well liked by most in my high school. I know everyones name, and am quite sociable. While being single does have its benefits, I am going old of the life that accompanies with it and am looking for a Girlfriend.

At my school, I decided I would try to go meet some girls and try to strike up a conversation, maybe try to find someone to go out with. That has had some of the worst results I have ever seen.

I then decided that maybe I wasn't looking in the right place so I went to some mixers at the local all girls school (the sister school to my school). After this I met some nice ladies, and got some phone numbers, and after like 2 days they stopped texting me, and I never heard back from them again. Then I after about 3 months of trying I finally met a girl whom I decided was cool, and we went on a "date" to the mall. She then proceeded to tell me it was her birthday, and coerced me into purchasing her some gifts, at the end of the day I spent close to $3,400 dollars on designer clothes and other items for her, after this date (which let me remind you this was only the first date) I said good night, and ever since then she never has talked to me since then. though she proceeded to tell my friends that i was a really cheap date, and now no one in my school will talk to me. I was wonder if girls on VT.. scratch that... if anyone on VT could clarify what I am doing wrong. I am nice, I am decent looking, and am a petty smart, and chill dude, yet can't seem to find anyone whom finds me even remotely attractive. please help....................

TL;DR - I have never had a Girlfriend, or anything even close to one, to say the least. I really want one, and have tried everything in the book to get one. and can't figure out what I am doing wrong, and why girls just randomly stop texting you?

Still, it may be cliche but I'm sure you can find someone if you don't focus on finding a girlfriend but just let it happen

This would be like 25 months' pocket money for me.
You can't buy a girlfriend as well as you can't force it.
Try to impress with your personality, niceness and your character and let it happen.

Your problem: you're nice. Same with me. People take advantage of that.

But seriously, it sounds like maybe you just haven't the right person yet. There are multiple reasons that girls may stop texting you, and without seeing the actual conversations, I can't tell you exactly why in your case. As for you being a "cheap date" I think that was once again you being taken advantage of. Personally, if I dropped $3400 on someone like that, and they did that to me, I wouldn't be anywhere close as nice as you about it. So you may be having some bad luck, don't give up! I'd say what you are doing (starting convos, going to meet ups) is the perfect way to find somebody. You just haven't had that good of luck.
