Question for Boys

I've got a question for boys. I will give you a situation, lets say there's these two boys we'll call them Mike and Steve. Now, lets say there's this girl, we'll call her Megan. Now, lets say Mike think's Megan is really hot so Mike says to Steve, "Megan is really hot, isn't she?" Now, lets say for whatever reason, maybe Megan just isn't his type, that Steve doesn't agree with Mike that Megan is drop dead gorgeous so Steve answers Mike by saying so. Now, as a result Mike calls Steve a douche because he doesn't agree about Megan being hot. If anything, I would think that Mike would like it that Steve doesn't think Megan is hot because then he doesn't have to compete with Steve for Megan. If I were Mike I wouldn't want Steve to think Megan was hot for that very reason.

My question is, why would Mike think that Steve is a douche for not agreeing with him that Megan is hot? That way, he doesn't have to compete with Steve for her.

I don't know, maybe Mike just wants Steve to agree with his statement because he wants to share an opinion? I can't really answer much further than that without knowing what is going on.

Agreed on this, perhaps it was said jokingly? Perhaps he just wants him to agree so he doesn't feel weird. Not sure. Depends on how he said it.

I know I'm not a boy, but ''Mike'' shouldn't be angry because he's asked ''Steve'' for an opinion and ''Steve'' is entitled to answer any way he likes. Maybe ''Mike'' is so besotted with ''Megan'' that he gets offended when someone doesn't think she's pretty? I don't know but it's a pretty weird scenario you have there lol.
