Guys with heels?

What are your thoughts on guys wearing heels, pumps, and/or stilettos?

In the fashion world, wearing heels down the runway is very common and I would definitely wear them :P

The first heels were actually designed for men :) but yes, heels nowadays are for women.

Wear whatever you want. I think some boots with thick heels look great on guys, personally. Prepare to be in pain though! They're really not comfortable.

I actually did not know that and I have no idea why anyone would willingly put themselves through that torture. What I did know is that I guess eventually it became a "female" thing because heels make our calves look nice. Which is true, although incredibly painful. Hence them being for women nowadays.

But see? Heels were for men. So dudes should wear whatever they want.

Good luck with that. Wearing stilettos takes practice in order to walk with confidence on any surface. Try it - if you can find shoes in your size. Walk across a marble floor with your head up. Or down a tile staircase without thinking your going to take a nose-dive any second.

It's very common (almost required in fact) for a female (and ONLY a female) to wear pumps or stilettos on a runway. I've been to dozens of runway shows and even more photo shoots that included male models - and I've never ever seen a male model wear woman shoes.

If YOU like to wear them, fine. I can't imagine them looking good on a guy. Just awkward.

One of my 4 pair of shoes have an inch and a half heel. But I'm not sure that counts because I only wear boots. (Work boots, not designer)

Not gonna sugar coat it, I think that's a little bit odd. Perhaps it would look fine if you were doing drag or something, but it just seems like it would clash too much to bring out the positives of the design when you're wearing women's shoes (yes, historically heels were designed for men. But it's 2015) with distinguished mens clothing.
I mean, wear what you want to wear. Just don't be upset with me if you ask me how you look and I say "I think the heels don't work on you...."
