My ex and I broke up in January. We dated for about almost a year.I broke up because I want to improve myself because I felt like I lost myself. Him and I talked about my current situation and he accepts it. He is currently falling for someone else. It hurts me, but I accept it because it happens, he says that he loves me but we are just friends. He says that we are just friends but him and I do relationship things, for instance he would kiss my forehead, he says that he does it to show his love, I would still go see his family but they all still think we are together, he would still call me and text me, and also he would hangout with me for a long period almost every day. It gets me confused because I have no idea what is he trying to do or feel? It gets me confused and I don't know what I should do.

Naturals Well, either this guy is pretending or he actually still loves you. If he already said he is falling for someone he /may/ be trying to make you jealous. I'm no expert on this topic so yeah, maybe just talk to him about it.

So it may be him trying to send you a sign but he feels like you don't want to be back together. I'm not sure, it is pretty confusing. You could ask him why he does this or if he still loves you. And whatever he says, go with it. It's his loss if he still has feelings for you and doesn't speak up. However, if he is truly falling for someone else, you may have to distance yourself from him because with him hanging out with you and kissing you, it won't look good if he does end up dating the other person.

It could just him showing that he still loves you and wants to make you feel comfortable enough for you to be okay to date this other girl that he is interested in? I don't see it as something that should show that he wants to date you, but more as something that is showing that he still cares about you.
