Here I bring up a thought I found quite interesting. It is a transcription of a situation of a situation a man I admire the most got into.
"A man asked me once: Jacque, what do you think about Christianity? I said: I think it's a very good idea. When is it going to be put in the practice?"

If you knew anything about Christianity, you would know that most of the laws presented in the old testament were mainly only to the nation of Israel at the time of those laws for various reasons. Christians today do not have to follow these laws. Not trying to be rude, but many "Angry Atheists" pull out the old testament laws to try to put Christianity on a bad light, when they haven't even read it. Its really repetitive and frankly, and ironically, quite narrow-minded.
But, to get on topic, I think Christianity is quite a two-faced religion, with ultra-zealous abortion clinic-bombing wackos on one end of the spectrum and tender-hearted "I WUV YEZUS" teenagers who only believe in the words of the Bible because it's there only guide to morality in there hedonistic and materialistic lives. This mainly is due to the fact that Christianity, being ingrained mainly in Western culture, had to moderate itself the most as liberal ideals are strongest in Western nations, especially in Western Europe, Australasia and US/Canada. You also have very traditionalist regions like Africa (DEY EAT DA POO-POO!) and Eastern Europe that all they want to do is find the best way to give as less rights to any set of persons they do not deem as being virtuous. This is the main reason why people ask this sort of question, in my opinion.
In my opinion? They haveish as far as I have seen. But, the main problem with the basis of Christianity where I'm at is that there faith is it built on the idea of fluffy feeling hope and the fact that a lot of these people can't hardly think for themselves in a deeper level. Ether that, or it's because that some people see as a part of the traditional culture, and that's something they want to associate with so they follow it in order to promote a sense of identity as a "God-fearing American" or something like that, while losing there most important identity, themselves.

not angry or necessarily trying to put christianity in a bad light, just saying that extremist groups generally represent a pure, unfiltered version of a religion. also there are plenty of violent verses in the new testament. also please explain to someone who isnt christian why todays christians do not need to follow the old laws
