View Full Version : Vistor Message Posting Errors

So I don't have a screenshot of it, and I am not sure if it's only happening to me, if I am using the system wrong, or whatnot, but I do remember what the error says.

So basically, whenever someone sends me a visitor message on my profile I click "View Conversation", then under "Conversation Between [Person] and maniamsmart", there is a text box. I type my message in there and then I get this, and I do have the message now because someone just posted while I was typing this up :P

"The following errors occurred with your submission:

This post is a duplicate of a post that you have posted in the last five minutes."

However, when I click "Post Message" again, doesn't work but still shows that the message is posted. In fact, it doesn't matter how many times I press "Post Message" it never brings me back to the conversation page where my post should be visible. Strangely enough though, even though the system is telling me that my message can't be posted, it actually is posted because I see it when I go back to the conversation. Even more strangely enough though I also get a little grey text string above my message after saying the following:

"This Message is Moderated."

So the messages do get posted, but there are just random errors that appear. It really doesn't bother me that much, but it could be fixed to help make that part of the site more efficient and make less clicking required to just see your message and reply to your visitor.

That's very odd. Especially with the error that your VM I moderated as VM moderation ends after 250. Hmmm....maybe clear your cookies?

You haven't been a member for 3 months yet. It's 3 months of membership and 250 posts. February 24th will be your 3 month. VMs are moderated for the first 3 months and 250 posts for everyone, and both requirements have to be met, so even if you have 4 months of membership or 1,000 posts, if you don't have the 250 posts or 3 month requirement, they'll be moderated still. It becomes visible after a moderator approves it.

I see now. Ok that makes sense. And you're right, it is February 24, I thought it was January.
