Does anybody have a tattoo?

If you don't have any tattoos, do you plan on getting any? If so, do you know what you want to get?

I don't have any myself, but would like to get one.

I have mixed feelings about this.

I want to get a full sleeve, but realistic me says it's not a good idea and I'll regret it. But I really want to get it.

Although there's one quote I wonder if maybe I can get written in a circle around the ouroboros... but I doubt I'll end up doing that.

No tattoos here, just piercings, but I would like to get some.

First one I get is gonna be a flower of my designing on the left side of my chest, just below my collarbone.

I had a dream like a month ago that I had it, and when I woke up, I knew it was gonna be my first one. :P Is gonna be pretty basic and small, so I'll probably get it this summer.

Ive through my childhood always felt that tattoos wasnt anything for me... Until I saw the advertisement for Christina Aguileras fragrance. Its some years ago. (I think she has made a new one since) Its the one where she has a big flowery tattoo on her back.

And why not? It's their body. A tattoo doesn't have to mean anything. You could just like the artwork. You could like body modifications. You could just really like tattoos.

No one gets a tattoo for other people, they get it for themselves. It doesn't have to have "meaning" if they like it. I mean, I know people who have freaking flower tattoos that they don't regret but they're like "wtf is a flower supposed to mean to me? It's pretty".

Went in to price check, etc. with a local tattoo parlor today (He was so freaking nice, like I chatted with him for about 15-20 minutes about learning to pierce and tattoo, etc.)

That is so true. I've thought about that too, that I might regret it when I'm older but I don't think I will.

I've got a few ideas. The only one set in stone is a half sleeve design on my left forearm. Mainly to cover up old scars but also because I really love the design. I also want "Leave the bloody path behind your wings." tattooed on my right forearm probably with some form of imagery relating to that. I also want the Rescue artwork from Silverstein tattooed on my chest. I do also want to cover both of my thighs but I have no idea what with yet.

The art in tattoos are amazing and the detail is amazing but overall, I don't think I'd want a tattoo. First of all it can be quite limiting if you get anything that can be easily seen because depending on your line of work it can be subject to questioning or it can even prevent you getting a job.

Then there is also that fact that the body never stays supple. Eventually your skin will begin to sag a bit and that can make tattoos look really ugly, that's in the future but still...it is something to consider.

Wise words. Just notice how many old people have tattoos that are just blotches
of ink, no art recognizable. Maybe tattoos can be kept fresher with lots of sun
block, I dunno.

Fortunately I was able to fight my problems and got rid of depression. My bf suggested me to get a tattoo reminding me of my struggle and also to show the strength of my personality. Now I have completely designed a beautiful tattoo with the help of my tattoo artist friend. This tattoo is a a butterfly that is just emerging from its cocoon. I will try to share some pictures, once I get it.
