That's the Spirit

Just now, I got incredibly pissed/angry at something on my albeit old laptop, and so I hit it hard...with my fist....
It cracked. http://i.imgur.com/wV0RSTA.jpg
Any tips on how you hold yourself back?
Also, since I don't use this anymore, I was considering ''lying'' that I gave it to a friend to my brother etc to avoid embarrassment as this isn't the first time...

You need to learn how to control yourself and your anger. Hitting things will only lead to a worse situation, like you're in now. I broke my phone and computer over the summer because I got really upset/angry and threw my phone. I didn't mean for it to hit my computer, but it did, and in one fell swoop I was out of a lot of money, and two electronic devices that I use often.
It doesn't take much to make a situation worse, and throwing/hitting things will definitely do it. When you feel like you want to throw or hit something take a few deep breaths, think about what the possible outcome of hitting something could be -- you could hurt yourself, accidentally break something, etc.
It's also not a healthy way to deal with your frustration, as you're not actually confronting it, you're just physically lashing out, with no resolution. A better way to cope or deal with whatever made you mad is to think about why it made you angry, or upset, and how you can get over it.

My suggestion is to take a martial art. I did Tae Kwon Do for 4 years and it really helped my anger. I was able to cope with it through the various exercises. It also gave me a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment I never had before. I was angry that my older brothers were always the "perfect" sons and I was the weird one. Tae Kwon Do, Tai Chi, and Yoga are wonderful stress relievers. However I dont know what is available in London but if you can find a way to get into a calmer setting and channel your anger and energy into something that you may fall in love with, you might be a happier person. Also depending on your age, puberty might be really messing with your hormones and it is natural to get a severe mood swing. Hope everything starts to look up from here.
