any ideas why?

ok, a few weeks ago, i told this guy that i really liked him and everything. he was perfectly cool with it but then he said he had one problem: im his best friend. i wish he had told me that before i told him how i felt. but now that doesnt even matter. he treats me like more than his best friend but less than his girlfriend, but not quite the whole friends with benefits thing. then he told me that he loved me as more than a friend but he wont do anything about it.

apparently, the best friend makes the best girl/boy friend.

so any ideas why he wont do anything about it???

i can understand his hesitance because going from being best friends to bf/gf is going to be different and it will probably take him a little while to get used to it. just give him some time to adjust to your new relationship.

Situations like this are very weird. He is probably just nervous..things like this are hard. If it's meant to happen, it will happen with time.

well from my experience, it could be an adjustment issue, maybe he is just trying to get used to you being more then a friend, it will take time but maybe the situation will improve :)
