View Full Version : Ladies in men's briefs.

What do other girls think about wearing men's briefs? I mean the kind that don't look like boyshorts or proper boxers, just generally look like regular underwear.
I'm not even close to ashamed to say that I'm thinking of switching to men's underwear. I'm getting really sick of going shopping and even your basic Target bikini cut 3-pack for women is either overly expensive, made of the most flimsy material, or just shaped totally wrong. I go to more expensive places (already a downside) and it's just lace and thongs and more over-priced tissue-thin stuff that rides up in places I wish it didn't. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love my lace on occasion but it's definitely not my taste for everyday wear.
I'm gonna go buy some from Walmart or something later this week, I'm just wondering if any other girls had opinions or experience like is it actually more comfortable or are they too baggy in the front 'cause of our obvious lack of bulge? They just seem so much more comfy (and well-made) from where I'm sitting. I have an actual pair of boxers that I love but sadly they don't fit under skin-tight pants.
So yeah, anyone?
(Fun fact: a 3-pack of undies from your basic generic brand at Walmart is $10.99 for women and $6.49 for men. Same thing, plain, white, covers your junk. Twice the price for the ladies. Only semi-related to the topic at hand, just gave me a laugh.)

I cant imagine tighty-whitey types being very comfortable. More like bulky and binding, and definately not feminine or pretty (if that means anything for you.) I guess try em. see what you think.
Not to sound snobby, but i think the last time my panties came in a 3-pack i was like 10. 3 for $9.99 is also very common at victoria secret and you get to choose which 3. And you get panty-of-the-month coupons in the mail. I never heard boys ever gettting that kind of deal on undies.

Ok I shop at Victoria's secret all the time, and I've never heard of their underwear being less than $5 a pop
Their sales are usually something more like 4/$24 or something whenever I see them. $6 > $2ish. And that can make a lot of difference depending on who you are
Hell, I have to bra-shop at VS, and I can only ever afford one at a time. If I'm lucky. I've needed to upsize for months now. They're good quality, don't get me wrong, but they are nowhere near inexpensive.

@Jo I've never thought briefs sounded appealing. They're just so bulky and they aren't shaped right, blah blah blah
But that's just me. I personally love boxers to death and probably wear them a little TOO often. But that's just me.
I say go for it if that's what you want

So I accidentally bought a few longer pairs of boxer briefs even though I meant to go with something shorter... didn't notice until later but, on the bright side, their comfy as heck. Didn't work out so badly after all.
Conclusion: never wearing women's underwear again at this rate (except on the odd occasion I feel particularly feminine).
Seriously, why can't women's underwear be this comfortable? :(

Every time I've gone to VS it's been $10 for 1 pair. Men's underwear is much cheaper, with or without the deals. It's less lacy and pretty (usually..) and costs a lot less to make, therefore a lot less to sell. They're also probably more comfortable, depending on the pair.

I have never tried tighty whiteys before but sounds interesting to try. I'm always up to something new but the problem would be asking mom to buy me boys tightys. She either think I grew a penis or on drugs.lol

I never really though about wearing guys underwear before!
It's something I might just have to try. I can imagine the little opening in the fron could be quite useful! ;)

Have you tried boyshorts? They are underwear designed for girls (and depending on the kind, you could get off wearing tight pants or even leggings without panty lines) that aren't very lacy or flimsy. I haven't had to buy them in a while, but last I remember, they also came in multi-packs in some places and aren't too wildly expensive. There are also boybriefs, apparently, which are similar, but not as long. I have a few pairs of boyshorts from Aerie and I like them a lot. You can buy 7 for $26.50.

Yep and I find them uncomfortable as hell. No clue why since they essentially the same thing.

I have boxers I wear as regular shorts on dreadfully hot summer nights. Sew up the fly and boom, you got nice cotton shorts. Though I've considered buying some for regular underwear. Never considered briefs, though. But I wear lots of things intended for men so I see nothing wrong with wearing men's briefs.

Personally, wearing mens briefs doesn't sound appealing to me, mainly because of the tightish fit. I would be happy to wear boxer shorts though, they sound comfy and less going up ya butt than female underwear if you know what mean.
