My question is are you able to move out of the dorm and be able to move back home? I mean depending on the college your going to, is it even close to home? Also if you don't live close to home, why not try bringing something from home with you to college just something small but reminds you of home. If you get what I mean.

Don't worry dude, it's natural. But we all gotta fly the coop sometimes, we can't live at home. This sounds dumb, but you have to think about the new part of your life you're writing and how cool it's gonna be. Home and family and buds will be there when you get back. Go out and make your next chapter.

You can always call, video chat. I know leaving home is tough, believe me but when you're on your own, it's a whole new world. You need to prepare for it when you get older, married, etc. if you want to visit them daily, it's only worth it if you truly want to see them and if you have enough money.

I live 1 and a half hour away from home. I can go by train every morning but I would have to wake up very early 5am. And come home late. 3 - 5pm... Is it worth it.

Well given the reaction this is having on you, you have to wonder whether a 3hr commute everyday would be worth it? I'm beginning to think it might be. I don't think from what you are saying, that things are going to improve anytime soon if you don't do anything about it. However, I do have a suggestion for staying. Try and get involved in activities and do things to keep your mind off thins at home. It will make a difference. But if that's not an option, you need to think about living back at home and having a long commute because there is no point being depressed like that when it can be avoided.

Well I think it'd probably be worth it to get up early to commute to the college then back, if your paying the same price as is with the dorm then it might be worth it if your home sick. I agree with Gumleaf it might be worth getting up early to travel to college but at least you'd be home? I mean you can't stay at home forever but just till you finish college then you might want to move out but only when you are ready to do so. You can't end up staying at home forever but still I think it's worth looking at, the worse case you can always end up moving back to the dorm if you don't like the commute every day, it might cure your homesickness fast who knows :P
