I will explain now. How can i ask my partner if he is STD free? Is that even appropriate?

I think you should have him over or go to his house and just watch tv and casually say "Hey, I have an important question, it's a bit personal but I was wondering if you are STD free?" If you guys are going to have sexual intercourse you should know each other's sexual health. Remember, be safe.

I agree with Jersey. if this will be a long term relationship get tested. One night stands use protection. Remember not everyone will tell you the truth.
