Do you get emails from colleges? When did they start?

well, usually when you sign up for their email, register, inquire with them, they will come after that. sometimes you will get different ones on your spam. if there is a college you are interested with, you can usually sign up with admissions and they will send you emails about info for deadlines and stuff

I get them, mostly because when I took college board tests I checked a box and put my email to get these emails. Now I regret it because 20+ colleges email me a day :eek:

Once i registered for the SATs and the ACTs I got them... and they won't stop until after decision day of your senior year! So have fun with the incessant college emails from 95% of places you won't bother applying to!!!

(Seriously though, you get them for at least a solid year. Once application deadline day passes the majority will stop except from the school you apply to.)

Once you register for the SAT/ACT, attend any kind of college fair, or submit it to anything college related, you'll get more emails than you can imagine. You will get so many that you will consider not going to college because they will spam you nonstop for a solid year :P

Yeah, I keep unsubscribing, but they just keep coming. I have applied and been accepted at university, but they continue to pursue me. Schools I have never heard of and would have no interest in attending.

Yeah most of them aren't even prominent schools!
