My best friend committed suicide

Two years ago my best friend Kevin committed suicide. He was having lots of problems at home and school. He was gay. He wanted to come out but he didn't want to makes things worse. He told me a bunch of times he felt trapped or didn't know what to do. But I didn't know he would kill himself. I miss him so much. We did everything together. He was like my brother. I love you Kevin and I wish I could say it to your face.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if you feel like you have nothing left to live for, PLEASE tell someone about it and PLEASE tell them what you're thinking about doing.

I wish I could have read Kevin's mind. I was his best friend and I couldn't.

I am so sorry to hear this. It's an unfortunately high rate in LGBTQA+ youth. But you're right, you should tell someone and you should get help because suicide is 100% preventable and it's horrible to lose anyone to it.

Unfortunately, even the best of friends don't always see the warning signs and I'm so sorry this happened to you. :hug:
