I'm not really a computer person.

I was tryin to do summit and it sed I need java so i clicked on the link and downloaded it but it still dont work. :(

i have windows 8 and i found summit sayin that java only works on the desktop screen, what is that?

any ideas how to make it work? I'm confused! :confused:

Could you please explain what 'summit' is?
Assuming that is is a programming thing, did you install 'Java'? or the full 'JDK'?
If its not a programming thing, did you check whether you needed the 32 bit or 64bit version?

huh? I was just tryin to get on a website and it said i need have.

I dunno anything about versions etc.

Ah okay then, your Java version is probably outdated, if you update it you should be fine :)

What browser are you using? AFAIK, only IE and Opera are 64 bit. If you are using Chrome or Firefox, you will have to install the 32bit version instead.
