Is everyone happy with the outcome of the Golden Globes this year?? I thought Jake Gyllenhaal should have won Best Actor for his performance in Nightcrawler, but he might be nominated for the same category in the Academy's this year!!! Crossing my fingers he wins!!

Didn't see all of the GG, but was pretty good. Lots of jokes :) Really like Jake, but Eddie's performance was really incredible, especial when you think about how well he did the physical parts of his performance which were so key to portraying Stephen Hawking.

That's true. It must've been really hard to play that role. I know Gyllenhaal had to lose weight for Nightcrawler, and Cooper had to gain 30 pounds for American Sniper. You have to take that into account when deciding who gets Best Actor

^^ True too : ), Jake did lose a lot of weight for that role. Probably easier for Bradley to gain that weight tho lol. Not sure if you ever saw Hunger with Michael Fassenbender, but that is probably the most impressive physical change and acting performance I have ever seen...
If Jake doesn't win at the Oscars, think he'll have a pretty good shot with his new movie Southpaw. He really is a great actor and they turned him into a BEAST for this new film. You can see some pics (which you'll probably enjoy ;)

OMG that is the biggest transformation I've ever seen lol. The director of Southpaw must've given him steroids to speed the process lmao

LOL, you would think ; ) Said he did 6 hours of training with some of the best boxers and coaches in the world. Sometimes I wish I could be an actor just to do things like that. For Hunger Games, J-Law :) apparently got to train with the greatest female archer in the world. Have to call it a night soon (its like 1:30am for me), but were there any other movies you really liked this year? :)

I can't wait to see this movie!! I liked so many movies this year. Annabelle, Gone Girl, Fury, Nightcrawler, Dumb and Dumber To, Interstellar, and The Gambler. Sorry I'm kind of a movie nerd lol. I'll let you get to sleep. Talk to ya later!!

If you want to see an actor who had to lose a lot of weight for a role, check out Christian Bale and the amount of weight he lost for The Machinist, it's crazy.

I didn't watch it. I read that Boyhood had won some awards. I watched it a few days ago and it was very good, so it's definitely something that I would recommend!

I'm a little disappointed in a couple things:
1) Amy and Tina went a liiiiittle over the line with the Bill Cosby "joke". Too soon, girls, too soon.
2) I'm surprised that Into the Woods did not win in its category
3) (this kinda goes along with #2) I was shocked that Meryl Streep didn't win anything for her role as the Witch. She was INCREDIBLE! I never knew that she could sing that well.

I had been hoping that Meryl Streep and Viola Davis would win in their respective categories, but the winners in all categories were worthy because of such outstanding performances all around. For that reason, it's hard for me to be too upset. I thought Tina and Amy were good as always. Very happy for Boyhood, Eddie Redmayne, and Gina Rodriguez.
