I am sick, and I told my mom I was OK, so earlier in the day she told me I could go play basketball with my friends. Now she finds out I really am sick, and she says I can't go, but I already told my friend I would be there. She thinks I will get him sick, or pick up another sickness while I am out, and spread it to the family, but I think being out in the fresh air is good for sickness, and touching a basketball isn't going to make anyone sick. Please help me by posting something that I can read to my mother, telling her that this is OK.

Also- on a side note, she is watching Game of Thrones, and it's freaking me out. What should I do?

She does have a point. I mean yes, fresh air and whatnot are good but you don't want to get your friends sick too and you'd be surprised how easy it is to spread a cold (sorry to every single friend I've gotten sick simply by existing in their general vicinity). It's not the end of the world but I can't actually say I disagree with her. Sorry, dude. But I mean, tell her you think the fresh air will help you feel better. If you can't actually go play, just go for a walk. It's not what you want to do but it's something if you just really want to get out of the house.

As for Game of Thrones... does it matter? My mum used to watch The Tudors all the time when I was a kid. Lots of sex, potentially really weird for me to witness by accidentally walking into the room, but I got over it. Unless it's just weird she's watching it in general? I don't know why that would freak anyone out.
