It's 1:25 AM and I'm very depressed. I'm trying to listen to happy music but it's not helping. What can I do to keep my mind off the negativity? This happens to me every night... every morning I'm very happy and energetic, then at night I'm groggy, depressed, suicidal, and upset. Tonight's different, I just feel worse. I'm hopeless, I'm useless and I don't see myself moving on from anything. I don't want to self harm again either. I don't want to sleep it all away either because I will feel the same way the next night.

Well do you know what could be the source of the problem? Maybe you do something during the day that just gets you down so much?
What can I do to keep my mind off the negativity?
Or do you just have negative thoughts about something? Maybe you could share if it's not too personal? It could help to get to the source of the problem.

This actually happens to me often, trust me you are not alone with this. In the day I am happy, and at night I get really sad and depressed.
Usually in the day you are occupied with something - school, talking to friends, or something else so you do not have time to think as much. Once it becomes evening/night time, you start to speculate on how your day went and you are not busy so you can think more, so you probably get overwhelmed and depressed like a loop.
It is not easy to resolve this, but it is possible. I am not an expert with depression, but since I've been dealing with it myself for years I am working on managing it with trial and error. Normally, when it gets to night time I try to keep myself occupied by listening to upbeat music and try to talk to friends the chance I get so I do not feel lonely. This keeps my mind off of things and works most of the time.
