So, basically, my parents don't trust me on the Internet. I use the Internet responsibly, but unfortunately, they think they have to "protect me form reality" limiting my freedom of expression on the Internet. They suspect i watch porn which I don't usually do as I have far more important thing. Basically, I need some help on anything that can PREVENT my parents from barging down my door and installing some crap on my computer or changing setting on my web browser. Is this possible? Idk, but i just need some advice.

If the computer is a desktop, simply unplug it and hide the cord when you aren't using it.
If it is a laptop, remove the battery and hide it along with the charger...

Or you could just talk to your parents about it...

To prevent them from doing stuff to your computer the only thing you can do is to hide it... or add a password to your account. Web filtering isn't full proof so even if they block stuff you'll find other ways.

have you tired making some compromise with them? the problem with possibly hiding stuff or trying to lock your computer is then they will use that as a reason you are trying to hide something from them

you have no right to freedom of expression as a minor. your parents can legally do whatever they like about your Internet habits, up to and including taking your computer away and hiding it somewhere without justifying it to you. their roof, their rules.

and based on your sig I'd say your parents have a perfectly valid reason to be concerned that you're doing inappropriate things on the Internet.

"Son, is your homework done yet?" - "Go away Dad, I'm clopping to Fluttershy!!"

You're 13, it's the internet, I'm really not surprised this is the case. You can talk to them but odds are, they're going to want to know what you're doing. If you have nothing to hide, why bother trying to hide things?

Show that you're using the internet responsibly, let them see exactly what it is you're doing, explain it to them if they don't understand. Everyone who is telling you just to hide or unplug the computer is just going to get you into trouble.

Your parents will let up if you're open and honest and they can see you're not getting into trouble.

Frankly, you're still young and it's their house so if they want to monitor your internet activity, you don't really have a choice in the matter.

Been there, seen that. My parents installed TuEagles on my PC when I was young, and that piece of crap didn't even allow me to open my MSN. Solution: going to Windows safe mode and disabling the TuEagles service. Now they'll think that it is installed and running while you can freely access the internet, and then just reactivate the service if necessary.

Of course, I just poked fun at them because I was smarter than the software and asked them to remove it completely :P

You've got a good point, but your tone makes you sound like a dick... ._.

I would do this:

Show them what I do, just not the whole truth, let me explain.

I would erase history I wouldn't want discovering, but just that history.

Maybe deceitful, but it worked on my parents.

You're pretty much out of luck being 13 and living in your parents' house. You're subject to their rules no matter what.

That being said, I'm sure talking to them and explaining that you'd like some degree of freedom online wouldn't hurt.
