I don't know the full story but apparently there have been women claiming that he raped them. I also saw that he said something like 'the black community will have my back'. I don't support rapists, so I have no idea what he's talking about. What exactly happened?

Exactly that, there are many allegations and people coming forth about Cosby supposedly sexually abusing women especially actresses that he worked closely with. There are even interviews with the women that have them saying some pretty weird stuff. I don't know if it's true, but I know Cosby has always been kinda weird

the first I "read" about this was on the front cover of a tabloid so I just dismissed it altogether. I've heard a conspiracy theory that Cosby ran afoul of the racemongers with his past politically incorrect statements about racial issues, and that these allegations were fabricated to discredit him. that wouldn't surprise me any, but then again sometimes influential people do in fact have lurid secrets and the most motivation to make sure they stay that way. Dr. Huxtable sure doesn't seem like the rapey type, but I wasn't there so....

I think its all a bunch of BS. Why all of a sudden are they coming forward after all this time? ITs like one made and accusation and the rest just jumped on the band wagon. Why didnt any of them come forward at the height of his career and ruin him back then before he became a gazillionaire. Also Janice Dickinson, the model and reality show freak. She has been whoring herself around the world with hundred of guys and she didnt seem to upset by it and in her recent interview she was crying. What a load of BS. Its goes back to the scored woman. If she has an affair, which very well could have happened, and Cosby saw it as just that , a FWB sorta thing. Maybe these women wanted more of the fame and fortune and he didn't want that. I dont believe in rape but I think all these women who come forward after 20-30 years with their feeling on their shoulder and talking about how they have suffered for sooooo long is BS. Thats why as Im now 18, I won't be caught dead with a under age girl in my car or somewhere alone. They cry rape to easy and give the honest girls, the majority of women, a bad name. Im on Cosbys side.

Just google Jimmy Saville and read about the sex allegations over here in the UK. When he died a couple of years ago thousands of victims came forward claiming he had sexually abused them. As a result loads of celebrities from the 60s, 70s and 80s have been arrested over sexual assault allegations made about them whereby victims have only just come forward. Some have been convicted and are now in prison. The police even have an operation for it named Op Yewtree. The Bill Crosby thing is very similar to this and there is a possibility that it could be true even though they are only just coming forward about it.

I think it's all bunk...why didn't they report these "Rapes" 20or more years ago? Now it is all he said she said, with no proof of anything. As much as hate rape and rapists, with no evidence an innocent man can go to jail.

I think that there is a chance he sexually abused some people, but no doubt people are also lying for money or fame

I'm sure Cosby probably screwed a bunch of (willing) women throughout his career, as most famous men do. unfortunately being famous and wealthy makes you a target for gold-digging whores. same thing happened to Kobe Bryant too - he had one night stands with whores and then the whores screamed "rape" so they could work out a nice big $ettlement. bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks.

And the attorney, Gloria Alred, is a total bitch. She likes to write scripts for women to say exactly what she wants them to say to create a whole theory. Everytime I see her in tv one of her cases, it seams more like a real badly written reality show. These women all get their 10 minutes of fame and when they're doing interviews, it seems more like they are using a telepromter rather speaking from the core of their body. To be honest, a few of tnese women should jump at the chance to have a man want tohave sex with them. They are total doormats.

Well it could be a case of Jerry Sandusky at Penn State. these issues are sometimes more complicated than what people think. many times people are too afraid to come out and it takes someone to be the first one before they will too. now, I really hope it is not true about Cosby, but sadly you never know

Lol I see your point!!
And that would make sense. However I do believe he may have committed these rapes. It all adds up and is pointing directly towards Cosby.

I think maybe one or two of the accusers are telling the truth though the question is why wait 20-30 years to come out?
Just in it for a money

Agreed!! It's getting to the point where people are going to have to sign some kind of agreement before having sex just to protect themselves.

Nope, I said it because he has been accused of being a rapist, therefore he cannot assume that the black community will have his back no matter what. I don't know whether he raped these women, nor do I know him personally or have an attachment to him; so I cannot back him up. I also can't hate him for 'being a rapist' because for all I know, he might not be a rapist.

it's a conundrum indeed. if the Left defends him they risk looking like rape apologists, but if they denounce him they might appear racist. does Cosby's race card cancel out his male privilege? I guess we'll find out pretty soon!

wow you just wrote me a paragraph of nothing
"I don't support rapists, so I have no idea what he's talking about."
this line obviously implies he's a rapist

if you read what I said carefully; I said that he cannot assume that we will defend him, as we don't know whether he's a rapist or not. He could be a rapist, he might not be. That's why I said 'I don't support rapists'.

if oj simpson said he knew id have his back and i said:
i dont support murderers, so i dont know what hes talking about
then im obviously implying hes a murderer

Fairmaiden said Bill Cosby said 'the black community has his back' with no attached pre-conditions. Fairmaiden doesn't support rapists. It's then her belief that if it comes out he's a rapist he won't have the black communities support.
Seems rather simple to me.
