Well do you have a extremely strong relationship with your parents?

if you do then they will normally accept it, however as always with these sort of things, they may be shocked at first.

If you have a strong relationship, then yes. Otherwise you might want to keep it to yourself untill you're a little older when they can't really do anything negatively.
