They're alright. A few of their songs are kinda cheesey, but you don't really have to look all that hard to find their good songs.

Overall, yeah, I like them. They're not the best, but I've never understood why they get so much hate. They're honestly not that bad. Some people make it sound like they're unbearable to listen to, and don't even have one decent song.

Their most recent albums ( over the lat 3-4 years ) have been their best, imo. They've started to become more of a Metal band, which has suited them a lot better. Songs like "Rockstar" ( and the whole "All the Right Reasons" album ) in which their songs are a bit softer, really aren't that good.

I like them, I just find that their songs only seem to be about sex, drugs or alcohol. Not that it is a bad thing, but a lot of their stuff is very similar. Then again who am I to talk, my favourite band is Linkin Park, a band that made their name with their first two albums and songs which sound the same and pretty much have the same format

Yup, they're up there in my top 20 bands. I have 5 of their albums but my favourites are Silver Side Up, Dark Horse and All The Right Reasons. They're kind of generic and average but then again so are most modern 'mainstream' rock bands, they still make/made good music and honestly I don't understand all the hate there is for them. Sure they're by no means the best rock band out there but when you get people saying "ew Nickelback" when the only thing they have to back them up is Rockstar it's kind of pathetic.

I can understand why people hate them. They say all their songs are the same and to be honest, they are quite similar but you can't deny that they are great songs. Chad is a great vocalist, Daniel is probably one of the best drummers in the world, anc Ryan and Mike aren't too bad either.

Whoah whoah whoah whoah whoah! Some of their songs are about them stuff like "Figured You Out" but not many. A lot of them (If Today Was Your Last Day, When We Stand Together, Photograph, Never Gonna be Alone and I'd Come For You) among others have a really powerful message and I'd really recomend you listening to them, it would really change the way you interpret life. And I agree with you that a lot of their songs sound the same but if you want to hear something different then listen to "You Got Me Running Round" (I think it's called) :)

I completely agree with you although I do also like some of their softer stuff, my favourite probably being When We Stand Together and my favourite from their new album being Million Miles an Hour or Edge of a Revolution

I know about all of these songs, I've got all of their albums and have been to see them live twice. I never said every single one of their songs were about sex, drugs and alcohol. Most of them are though and they arn't bad songs. Just that most of the ones that haven't been released as singles are about a similar theme. I'm not knocking them, what they do is brilliant.
