So. I was wondering how often do you feel the need to buy new clothes.
I for one must at least get a new shirt once a month. Usually more than 1 shirt. And I wear them almost immediately too.
I usually go shopping when I have a really bad day or a depressing time. It makes me feel better when I have new stuff.

So how are you with buying new clothes? When? How many? And how soon do you wear them?
Also, wondering if it varies between Men and Women vs sexuality, so post that too :)

I'm a gay man. I suppose shopping for clothes is my only real stereotypical giveaway to my sexuality. heh.

Every season I go shopping for new clothes. Usually depending on how much I want to spend, I either go to the mall or I go to the Thrift Stores.

i mean, unless a lot of stuff is small or somehow ruined I dont always feel the need to buy new clothes. if I see a shirt or something I like i will buy it. i try not to get to crazy. i try to buy a lot on sale and I often will go through clothes and if I don't wear them anymore (and they are nice) then I will donate them or at least give them to a friend who wants them

I can probably count the pairs of non-school pants I own on one hand, as for shirts I'm not that bad off, but I get a new shirt once every three months or so, and usually it comes from the thrift store or the clearance section at WalMart.

Not all gay guys go shopping alot, some of them are poor like me.

I feel the need to buy a kiloton of clothes about every two weeks...
Yet I will return most of it rather quickly after I try the stuff on a second time.

I am also gay so... yea.

I go through phases where I buy stuff, I kind of have an addiction to dresses (upwards of 35) and I don't wear them all the time. When I shop either feel awesome or like I want to cry so it's worth the risk. I usually shop like twice a month maybe more

I have to admit that I have a bit of a problem when it comes to online shopping. Every two months or so I go on a shopping spree and I will literally buy anything I can. My parents don't care too much, but they don't realize I can't even close my shirt drawer correctly anymore

When my wardrobe's empty because I don't have enough clothes to last me two weeks, or the old ones are getting really old.

But stores usually don't have what I like anyways, so I never get overexcited.

Dunno, I kinda hate shopping. I mostly buy stuff when I'm frustrated and unhappy and then I spend way too much and regret it afterwards. Usually I buy new stuff every other month or so but a lot of cheap stuff and stuff from thrift stores.

Yeah, i've been thinking of giving away some of my clothes too. There's too many I just don't wear anymore.
I know my parents used to take my old clothes somewhere for charity, I should look it up and do the same.

Well, question is if you want to buy new ones and can't, or don't really feel the need anyway?

Stereotypes yay :D
Mm, I honestly never actually returned an item. I usually take the ticket off before wearing it even, just cause i'm head on into wearing it for the day heh.
Only had one time when it was like MEH!!! and I just put in the closet straight away. It's still there, exact same spot heh.

emm. I don't think I ever bought clothes online. I really need to see it to want to buy it. Physically that is. Pics just don't really make me want to want it.

Well, idk. When I have a bad day and I buy something, I somehow instantly get happy and excited. Same way with music and games, and pretty much everything. I get so anxious to get home and use it properly.

My Answer: I'd like to buy some new stuff, but I'm not really interested in much beyond the normal men's wear, although I would like to look more like a bear cub.

I only really go shopping for clothes if there is something I need. However there are always those times when I intend to "browse" in the clothing section of merchandise stores and walk out with an empty purse..

I will find myself shopping for clothes when I'm bored, I will go to some online shopping websites just to browse and have a look what's in store and I end up buying.. such a bad habit!

I will also find myself shopping for clothes when I actually do need to get something for an occasion or just simply need something but then I will also find myself leaving with more than just something I needed.... ooops...

Not going to lie but ever since Christmas and new years I've been doing really well not buying any clothes! This year I haven't bought any piece of clothing! :) so far anyway....

I've got parents that are quite fashionable and have always got us new clothing quite often. So I end up getting a new piece of clothing every couple of weeks or whenever I see something I like.

I tend to shop when I'm upset, it's awful. But usually I don't do any major shopping until the previous season's clothing is on sale. I have to wait awhile to wear some of it but it's worth the bargain.

I mostly just like picking up flannel plaid shirts when I can. I'm embracing the stereotype as a queer woman.

I buy clothes every two months, and I buy two full sets each time. Recently I got a really tight but really nice black jean, and a white vest and a light blue, buttoned shirt with black shoes. Looks really cool. Anyway, I usually wear them the first opportunity I get too.

I usually only get new clothes a couple times a year. I get 'summer' clothes at the end of spring and then winter clothes in September time (ish).

Typically about once a month I buy something cute. 99% of the time, it's on sale or deep clearance.

More often though I get to "buy" clothing for modeling shoots, but I can't keep any of it. Went to BeBe today and picked up 2 complete outfits for a photo shoot tomorrow - shoes included for a whopping $650! And everything will be returned tomorrow afternoon on the way home. I'll only get to wear them for 20 minutes. :( But i can always dream i guess.

I love to buy new clothes and whenever I have some money to spend, I take a friend (usually a girl since women have more patience with these things) and I buy whatever looks good. And of course if I have to buy something in particular, I go as soon as I can (and my mom usually gives me some money if I need to buy say a shirt for prom).

I have the need for new shorts all the time because I honestly am short (ha! no pun intended) on them in my wardrobe but alas I rarely find anything in my size and recently I haven't had much time to sew the pairs of shorts that I want. :( But I trust that I'll be able to do that soon! yup. :D

I think it's also partly due to the fact that i'm super frugal and there aren't any thrift stores around where I live (huge stigma surrounding them, with the general mindset that only poor people go there - most people donate their clothes directly to charities/shelters anyway.. :/ hipster mindset hasn't taken over yet ahaha)

I usually buy clothes when my mom drags my family to the store. Sometimes I'll see stuff I like and look for it online, but that only happens when I have money to blow.

I really don't like shopping, but go once in a while. If my friends are going I might go along, and buy a shirt or maybe some shorts if something jumps off the rack and yells, "Buy Me!"

My mom loves to shop, and she knows what I like, so things keep showing up in my dresser.
