a cpl of years ago i was a level 7 gymnast but had to stop cause i started to get back problems and my dad basically ended my gymnastics after doing it since i was 3! Anyways, i started to do cheer at school and thats fun too, but not the same. My mom wanted me to try diving too and im still doing it but i dont love it. its OK, but its not very fun.

The only reason she wants me to do diving is to get scholarship money and she wont let me quit. ( i asked 3 times already) how can i do it for 3 more years if i dont like doing it? Again, i dont hate it, but i dont love it and im not very good and its hard to be motivated to even go when i dont love it.

What would you do?

I feel like your mom is making you do this because she wants you to be successful. She wants you to go to a good college, get a good job and have a good life. However, if you really aren't happy, tell her that. You deserve to enjoy your high school years. It's your life, not hers.
However, if you are good at diving I don't see why you would want to quit because you could get a scholarship and then have even more fun in college
But it is your life, not hers.

I enjoy sports. if you do not want to do sports though, try to compromise with your mother to see if there is something else you can be doing instead

I've done gymnastics for quite a long time but had to quit because of injurys. I got lazy and added weigth after that so my dad made me a trainings shedule. He is very strict with it but i like sports and it is no problem for me. I was aiming for a scholarship too but my dad made no pressure after i had to quit. There are so many others ways in life.
