Help me plz

I am 17(turning 18 in a couple of months) and i am finally thinking of getting a girlfriend.The thing is,i am way too afraid to talk to them.And when i do talk to them,i dont know what to talk about :P
Plus,my self confidence is really really low and i dont know how to get it back up.Last but not least is my fear of getting rejected.I cant make a move if i am not 100% sure i will be successful.Even in strategy games i never attack if i am not 100% sure i will win the trade.In short,i am afraid of risking.What the fuck can i do to improve myself?

first of all i don't think you have to improve you just have to be yourself trust me i am the same as you i don't like taking risks and i'm pretty... not shy but reserved around girls for lack of a better word and it took me until 3 months ago to initiate dialogue with a girl and it was quite easy, the total opposite of what i was expecting although i think it's different for you because i haven't even said a word to any girl i find... "attractive" but if you don't have a girl in mind just find or get a female friend that your not yet attracted to and work things up from there so your attraction for each other might grow mutually for you, unfortunately i am friends with a girl i've known for 3 years and being autistic i didn't realize she was into me until it was to late and i was never into her. so to sum it up... do what i told you and your golden :D

Side-note: do you play any strategy games like the HOI series, Victoria 2, Total War series, Men of War Series, Civilization or even Rise of Nations because i like to build up my power then use overwhelming force on my opponents just like in chess that i also love to play i just realized my aspergers has kicked so i won't bother you with this anymore unless you need me thanks. :D

I have trouble starting a discussion,and thats a general issue of mine,its not just restricted to girls.Any suggested topics?

As for the strategy games,i mostly play Nemesis Of The Roman Empire,its a preety funny strategy game but i dont play online :P
