Stepdads being unfair

Okay so Im 14 and my mum asked me to go to work with her tomorrow and I said no I'm going out and she said im grounded for Playinf with lighters then I said I'll just stay in then my stepdad calls me a lazy cunt and keeps saying how I never go out. He seems to want to make everything into an argument

So you got grounded for playing with lighters, but what does that have to do with you not wanting to go to her work?
I think you should get out of the house. You should go with your mom to work and then maybe your stepdad will be content. The best way to show him that you aren't a homebody is to get out of the house.
As for that language, that seems like child abuse. He could get in serious trouble for putting you down like that. Does your mom know he said that?

If we compromise and obey with our parents, as well with finding common ground, it should be easy to deal with situations like these.

It really sucks, but it is their house so whatever they say goes. If they ask to do to a chore, then you need to do it without being defiant as it could make the situation worse. If there is physical, mental or verbal abuse going on, then that is a different matter. It would need to be explored more.

Playing with lighters is a big no no, that is extremely dangerous and it was just their behavior as parents to intervene and get agitated about it.

My Dad sometimes always begs me for not leaving the house and staying in, yet whenever I want to go out and hang with friends, "You need to stay here with your family we need you. There is an errand you have to do with us." Smh, omg we can't win.
