I know that the proportion of asexual people in society is about 1 in 100. I wonder however what the number of users on here is.

Please post below, if you don't mind, saying that you are asexual and whether you are demisexual, grey-asexual or full-on asexual. If you feel you have one, it would be also interesting to know your romantic orientation!

I know it can feel very alienating to know that there are such a small proportion of asexuals in society compared to gay people and bi people, so I think it would be nice for us all to know that there are others out there!

I'm fairly certain I'm asexual, but as I've never had any type of romantic encounter with anyone, that may not be true. As for my romantic orientation, it's definitely not hetero, but I don't care to use a label beyond that.

I don't know what I classify as. I THINK I'm a-sexual to some extent as my wet dreams have not involved sex with women, women in erotic positions, etc., etc. and I rarely feel eroticized by seeing women naked in tv shows and naked women irl/in pix kinda sicken me a bit. Yet I have had crushes on women and do like them. Just not really one of those boys who dremas about women naked and stuff like that

I consider myself to be bi-romantic and demisexual/grey-ace. I don't know where I fall on the spectrum, nor do I really care as long as my partner respects my wishes when it comes to things of a sexual nature.

I think that it is often harder for aces to fit into relationships with sexual people, since there will always be the difference in desires and priorities. For example, I do not want sex, I do not want kissing, I do not want anything more than holding hands and the odd cuddle. A lot of sexual people want more physical intimacy in a relationship than that, especially at my age, whereas I just want emotional intimacy and long intelligent conversations!
