Why underwear??

Ok this is probably a really dumb question but why do guys specifically wear briefs, boxer briefs, boxers, etc. What's the point?

It is just preference on their fashion sense. I never really gave it much thought. I sometimes hate the idea of buying underwear and being particular on the type and design and stuff. I like boxer briefs and I can honestly say I don't really have a reason as to why except I like the way they look and feel.

Its like any other piece of clothing, people wanna stay in fashion and underwear is considered to be a piece of clothing that people care about. I try to get trendy ones all the time, why would you stop being fashionable just because people don't necessarily see it?:P

It's not just boxers and boxer briefs. It's all kinds of clothing for guys and girls. We all have a preferred style and what we feel comfortable with. Some like *a* some like *b*

some types fit better than others. some brands fit better (Hollister boxer briefs fit better than Hanes do). one likes how a certain brand or type looks on them. if you are going to be getting undressed in front of other, particularly with a sexual partner, it is nice to look and feel sexy in a good pair of underwear. a lot can go into underwear choice

I choose my underwear type for comfort reasons really. I prefer a tighter, more snug feeling when I wear underwear.

Preference for look, comfort, and overall feel, but underwear is a statements of oneself, like all clothes. The color and style of one's underwear can really describe a lot about that person. Like for me, if you saw my underwear you could easily tell I was gay just by the color, I know that's a stereotype but you get what I'm saying.

Boxers are good for freeballing (pun not intended) with an added security if you're pant's fall down or something, briefs on the other hand keep everything together, and boxer briefs are the best of both worlds.

I could disagree about the fashion thing, because unless you're walking around with your waistband around your thighs or ankles, no-one's going to see your undies. Of course people do a lot of pointless fashion things in my opinion.

When I said the fashion thing I meant for people who undress infront of others/peers, say school in a locker room. :)
