2014 has been a bit of a sucky year for me in terms of bands releasing albums, '13 was way better and I'm expecting a lot from '15 too. I have a couple though.

I honestly haven't been into music much this year, and I can only name maybe a handful of albums released this year.
Of those, Persuader obviously takes the cake

10) Nicki Minaj - The Pinkprint (I like how it really is emotional and RnB but with modern hip hop edm feels)
9) EXO - Overdose (It sounds really modern and makes you feel sexual @Thunder)
8) Iggy Azealia - Reclassified (I dislike the re! As it kinda feels like Nicki's Re-Up but yeah beg for it and 100)
7) T-Ara - And&End (Sugar Free holy shit that EDM synth tho it just makes you go OMG no way)
6) One Direction - Four (Seems more old school and mature then Take Me Home)
5) Meghan Trainor - Title E.P (Okay all the songs except All about that bass ROCK)
4) Ariana Grande - My everything
3) Azealia Banks - Broke with expensive Taste (It's weird and cool haha BBD and Nude Beach a go go shit the weird feels)
2) Meghan Trainor - Title (Deluxe) (Okay shit I know I did the EP but WTF the Interlude, Credit, Walkashame, DFH, Title, MSH and Mr. Almost) BTW this 2015 but it was supposed to be realeased in 2014)
Okay this hands down the best album that will ever be realeased it is:
2NE1 - Crush - It is the most diverse album okay Crush is bad ass with it's dark rough synth)
Come Back Home it's Hybrid Reggae/Pop/Trap/EDM beat and the most deep emotional lyrics ever this song is so unique there is no other song like this except Kevin Karla and LA banda's Love Me which they said was inspired by Come Back Home as they did a cover I fucken love this song.
Gotta Be You. It is so cool like it's Hip hop RnB verse and pre chorus then its club/Pop chorus, nobody can do club without it sounding gay like 2NE1.
If I were you is so unique it's RnB/Jazz with a soft verse then belting chorus.
Good To You, It's so chill but sad lyrics "Why do good girls like bad boys, why do bad boys like bad girls?"
MTBD - Okay it makes Turn Down for What look mediocre the Beat and lyrics are on point.
Happy it doesn't fit with the album but it adds to diversity. It is a pop/rock song it's very Ironic as it is a sad song lyrics include "I'm not being sarcastic I wish you a happy ending" after a break up it's a very inspiring break up song.
Scream okay dubstep I love this song since it's 2012 release but it sounds better in this language and more bad ass "Why you keep calling me hunnie?"
Baby I Miss You is so sexual but soothing it makes my hips move it's an RnB track with a 90's and modern take.
Come Back Home (Acoustic) okay I just cried and I'm a guy but it's so sad "Forever I'm your queen you're my ruler. Come back home, can you come back home? Please don't leave me alone at the cold end of the world"
This album is so diverse I mean if you hate EDM you can listen to Happy, CBH unplugged, BIMY etc.
I love 2NE1.
Other albums are Epik High's Shoebox and Beenzino's Mini album.
Sugaree
January 16th, 2015, 11:20 PM
Thom Yorke - Tomorrow's Modern Boxes
U2 - Songs of Innocence
Flying Lotus - You're Dead!
Other than those three - two of which were surprises - I didn't listen to anything new. The "new" Pink Floyd LP is pretty good, but nothing I would be putting on AOTY charts.
