Not sure if this is the right section so forum mods, feel free to move it.
As I am a total laundry novice, I have decided to ask your guys, and girls, es opinions. I was doing some exercise and as a result my shirt has kinda gotten a bit...smelly. I know I need to wash it but as the laundry hamper isn't full enough yet to run a wash I'll need to wait a while. My question to you, though, is this: if I put it in the hamper with the other clothes will its smell permeate the other clothes causing them to get smelly too? Will I be able to wash the shirt like I normally would or would I need to wash it separately?
I'd ask my parents but I don't think they'd be happy about it, which is why I'm asking here. Plz help
Thank you :)

Well.. that sounds like a problem.
I'm pretty sure that the cloth might get the smell. But I always ask my mom just to make sure everything is ok, or a female friend or yours.
Otherwise, i'd just watch it by hand just to prevent anything to happen.

the answer to your first question is no the smell wont be transfered to your other clothes and yes you will be able to wash it with your other clothes just fine in a normal wash. this happens alot to me after iv been for a run and iv never had problems just putting my shirts and other things in with the normal washing

If you'd read my original post you'd know that I can't ask mom. I'd have to explain how said shirt got so smelly in the process of asking for advice and then she'd flip. It's a too risky maneuver

If you put it with the rest of the clothes, once you wash them the smell will go away

pffft... boys!!
OK, smell doesnt matter. COLOR does. Wash light colors with light colors and dark colors with dark colors. Its like the only thing that actually matters. And it also doesnt matter if the washer isnt "full". 1/2 load is fine too. Just dont load it OVER full because then nothing actually gets clean, just wet. Since your a boy you prbably dont have anything delicate - so, i'll skip that part of todays lesson. :)
fyi: Its best to wash things (clothes, dishes, shower, etc) BEFORE it goes "organic".

Yeah, I deserved the boy rebuke here, hahaha. Thank you for the much-needed lesson.

OMG lol (get a wank sock!) Fill the sink with hot water add a soap tablet or pouch or a hand full of flakes power mix up put ur shirt in and wash it ie rub it together esp under the arms same with your boxers and wank sock then drain and rinse under cold tap (USA Faucet) ring out and hang on your radiator to dry easy. PS always wash a pair of socks not just the one!!!
Saves any odd questions :)

Well mom ran some laundry and she didn't confront me or anything (I just put the shirt in with the other laundry) so I think I survived! Thank you all! :)

I do the laundry because there is no Mom around, and I never had that problem.

I did. I used the tip to just put it in the laundry and not worry. (By the time I saw the awesome tip of washing it myself parents were already home, or I'd have used that).

Ok, then you are ok now. Good.
Try not to use your clothes for sexual stuff, if that was it
but well, good that it worked out for you.

It seems to me clothes getting sweaty if you do some of exercise is to be expected so not something to be embarassed about. As long as they get washed regularly then all is fine. It is much more common to get embarassed about crusty marks due to sexual activity. If you want to avoid that embarassment then you could always volunteer to do your own laundry and ask you mum how.

Yeah but depends how sweaty. There's 'sniff sniff' and 'ewwwww, gross.' sweaty. Mine was the latter.
