my roommate plays this game obsessively. it looks really fun but I'm not a console gamer so I'll be missing out unless they decide to bring it to PC (which is lame because the PS4 and Xbox One are both technically PCs under the hood, so it would be super duper easy to do it).

Sadly I haven't made much time to play Destiny in the past few weeks so I'm really behind, in terms of getting resources like Spinmetal and ascendant shards and energies. I finally got caught up with all the Dark Below missions however. Now I'm trying to take on the Nightfall Strike. Solo. -.- Damn that fatass bullet sponge.

I desperately need to get more ascendant shards and apparently raids are really the only way to do that? I play on 360 if anyone wants in.

Raids give you Radiant shards. (I think Vault of Glass gives you ascendant, could be wrong.)


You can get Ascendent shards from doing strikes and other daily stuff.

I'm stuck at level 27 because I need like 20+ ascendant shards to upgrade anything at this point and I have... 3, I think. Though I almost have enough marks for a new helmet so there's that. But still, ugh.

Just Ikora right now although I miiight be able to get some stuff from the Agent of the Nine on the weekend now that I've collected more strange coins than I know what to do with.

I can't get anything Crucible-related because I suck so badly at it that I usually end up rage-quitting and avoiding it at all costs.

I have no clue what Ikora is.

You need 13 coins for an exotic piece of armor.

Crucible is stupid. I suggest getting the vanguard armor set from the vanguard vendors in the tower. (There is one for each class) Vanguard marks are easy to come by, just do the daily strikes and lots of bounties.

Sorry, Ikora is the warlock vanguard. I've been doing all of that, it's just the upgrades that are driving me mad.

Vault of glass,daily heroic missions and public event packages are your best bet. nightfall too,but you wouldn't want to get ascendant shards after going through that lol

If you haven't tried vault of glass,its one of the most fun experiences you could have in the game. besides,there are plenty of people who're willing to take new players through the raid. it's easy to accumulate ascendant shards too. i'd help,but sadly i'm on the PS4 :P
