I noticed that the admins are toying around and trying to figure out which diary configuration works best. I like the one where they are made into subforums better because its easier to see if they are new posts in ones diary and also it kinda boosts activity in the diaries. So thats my opinion. :D Thanks admins! Anyone else agree with this?

I prefer Triple7's configuration, I use the "New Posts' button anyway so IRDC.

The sun's idea is good because it is eiser for navigation to each diary and boosts activity and also is better to see if there are new posts.
Hmm on the other hand triple7's configuration is good b/c its not too bulky at the bottom and the whole diary page is on a seperate one wich makes you feel like its an oasis wich is pretty nice.
Hmm i would have to give 60% to The sun's idea and 40% for Triple 7's idea

To be honest I didn't like them when they were sub-forums.
You should make them like they are now but on the right side show the new posts in threads and such

New posts won't show because the forum is acting as a link.

Still I would like it better that way. It shows better then to just randomly brows the diarys

To have that back would mean going back to subforums.

Personally I like how it is now. Its no different how it was before except it requires 1 extra click to view them.
If you want to see if there are new posts in the diaries, click the forum link or go to Quick Links and click on Member Forums - then scroll down the page and see what forums are highlighted like you've always done. Alternatively, you can click on "New Posts" on the navigation bar that lists all the new threads.
There's an increasing demand for new forums now and most likely will in the future. In order to facilitate that, diaries must be moved completely off the main page to make room for them.
There's also an increase demand for diaries and as you probably haven't noticed, the limit was recently changed to 35.
The only options were to either have stricter diary deletions and long waiting lists and being less open to new forums, or move diaries off the main page to have more diaries and more oppurtunity for new forums.
Minor habits can be easily changed in time, but keeping the old layout left little room for change and improvement.

i didn't really like the sub-forum view it was to bulky and look kinda unorganized. Its cool how it is now but you guys should just keep playing with it and see what works best for the site.

Why do all of that crap when you can just look at the name and check the little picture next to it to see if their are new posts in a certain diary. Instead of going to quick links and searching new posts in which that takes a longer time especially if you have to check one thing. Seriously, I am going on convience and we all know that the most convienient are the sub-forums. If you want it to look pretty whatever but still, my opinion is that subs are the way to go!

All that crap? Is it really that difficult? Its clicking a link. Its not asking you to jump through hoops.

The truth is - if a diary is inactive cause people don't care enough to make two clicks to visit it - then it's not worth it anyways. We are lucky we are allowed to have our own personal forum, it's a nice privilege.
I think the current way they are is the way to go.

Alright, but I still think its more convenient to have it as sub forums. That way you can check every single diary for new posts without having one stinkin click.
