Friends Who Smoke And Drink

Do you have any friends who do either of the two activities?
How do you feel about their actions? Do you want them to quit?

I have a friend who smokes weed and I have been wanting for him to quit because of his age but he hasn't. I have a friend who smokes cigarettes and I've been trying to help her quit, but when she goes for a certain amount of time, something depressing comes up and she goes back to it.

I have no problem with any of my friends having a drink or smoke every now and then.

Yes, I have friends who do (although I'm not incredibly close with them) and while I don't really like it myself, I have no right judging what they do in their spare time. As long as they're safe, I try not to care.

I also have one family member that I know of who does pot, but it's for medical reasons, so.

I have a friend who binge-drinks on the regular and then wonders why he always feels tired and shitty and depressed. he'd have a pretty good life if he didn't do that.

All I can do, is say no and refuse to participate. They know it's wrong but they continue to do it so it's out of my hand and control at that point.

Basicly every friend i have drinks including me, some smokes and it has been like that since i was 13

A lot of my friends at this point are legal (be it for cigarettes, or for alcohol) so it doesn't matter for some of them. Out of the ones who aren't though, and even in the past, I do have a fair amount of friends who either smoked, drank, and/or used some kind of illegal substance. I can't really complain because I fall into that, but even when I was an 'outsider', it didn't bug me too much. It is what it is, I can't make decisions for others.

Im really not that bothered. I don't have friends that are alcoholics but they drink socially a lot and smoke weed occasionally and I'm fine with it. One, its their choice and two, I join in so I can't really be a hypocrite.

Out of all my friends there's only one that drinks more than I do. And I mean I don't think he should quit because that would make me a hypocrite but he probably should slow down. He drinks way more often then I do. If I m doing it once a month he's doing it ever weekend....its kinda sad too see that though too

Me and my friends have a beer or two very occasionally. One of my friends was a habitual smoker, but he's stopped now. Atleast that's what he says :p

Here in Amsterdam everyone does one or the other. I just let it go cuz Ik I can't stop them.

Most of my friends either drink, smoke, or recreationally use drugs. A lot of my family smokes cigarettes and drinks as well. I do as well so I can't really say that they shouldn't, but I do realize that it's not good in excess.

99% of my friends smoke and/or drink, but I do too, so I can't really say much. But I have one who smokes weed everyday, and I get on his case about it.

I strongly avoid socializing with people that drink/smoke as a routine and do it more than they should.

I do, though I try not to hang out with them when they are. I do not approve and I have let them know how I feel, but it is their life and they have to make those choices on their own

I have a few friends who smoke (I never have), but most of them drink. I think I am probably the one out of everyone I know who drinks that does it the least - maybe once every month or two...and never more than a couple at a time.

I really don't have a problem with anyone doing whatever they feel like doing. It's their body, and their business.

I have a few friends who do smoke but I don't really speak to them at all.
My dad does smoke and I've been telling him to stop but he just can't. I even tried burning every pack of his cigarrettes but he keeps buying more.

Pretty much all of my friends drink and as long as it's not overdone I see no problem with it. None of my friends really smoke though.

Me and my sister eat some spacecake now and then so I feel fine about people doing weed as long as they don't smoke it.
I have one friend who smokes which I find really disgusting and she knows that.
I feel fine about people drinking alcohol as long as it's just a bit and not to get totally wasted. I don't use alcohol myself, just weed. :D

Most my friends smoke and drink. They actually got me into it. It's not like, a problem but obviously they're underage for both activities. Plus some do harder drugs so I'm worried about that. But I wouldn't say that to them. They find there to be nothing wrong and I don't want to be a buzzkill. Probably should tho

One of my friends who's one of the greatest kids I know. He smokes /and/ drinks. He's been doing it since the sixth grade but he hasn't yet gotten to that point of addiction, meaning he can stop if he needs and wants to without any problems which he has done before when the school and his parents caught him. But he doesn't want to stop because he doesn't feel as if it's affection his health and "It's just drinking and smoking, dude!" But he's only what? Thirteen? I want him to stop but I'm pretty sure he won't be stopping anytime soon.

Just made some new friends, and I'll probably meet more people in the future, but now three of my friends drink occasionally and it worries me because they all have issues and drinking just adds to it, but I just hope they don't get addicted..and my grandpa has been smoking around 10 cigarettes every single day since who knows how long it's been, and I'm thankful he's still alive but he has diabetes and huge anger issues, so I would really want him to quit, but he just gets too aggro when he doesn't smoke

I probably have a lot of friends that smoke/drink, but they'd never tell me because they know I'd chew them out and beat the crap out of them. I'm kidding (kind of), but really, I'd just be disappointed in them, but I'm not gonna make them stop because that was their choice. Personally, both of them disgust me, but I don't really judge people that do. My family has a lot of history with substance abuse, and that's why I'm very against either of those activities.

All my friends drink but we are all students and all legal so that's not a problem in the slightest.

As for smoking quite a few of my friends smoke I haven't got a problem with it quite often I slip back into bad habits and buy a pack too.

Then drugs well I go to what is notoriously one of the most druggy in the country. So yes most of my friends have done and still do drugs by a very large majority. I personally don't have a problem with it, at the end of the day its up to you what you do with your life and if that's how you have fun then who am I to stand in your way. I have only done weed myself, and have absolutely no intention of joining my friends on anything stronger I have more than a good enough time without it.

I know that my friend's smoked pot before (though I don't know how frequently she does it), and one of my managers who I'm really chill with at Jamba drinks regularly. They're both 17 and I have no idea where they get the weed/alchy, nor do I really have an interest in finding out.

My friend who smokes pot I'm fine with, it's just pot. I'm a bit more sensitive to alcohol, though, because of past experience. It does bother me, but I'm not about to go tell my manager (who has seniority and the power to have me written up) that he should stop drinking.

I don't smoke, drink, or do any drugs - and I tend to avoid people who do.
