braces in college

I am considering getting braces to fix my bite problem and crooked teeth. The procedure was not very common in my home country until recent years so I did not get it done when I was younger. Now I'm attending university in North America. I realize most people have their braces done in high school or even earlier and I don't see many people having braces in college. So my question is do you think it's weird for older teens or young adults to have braces? Would I get laughed at or something like that?

Not at all. Plenty of people have braces in their young adult years. Besides, who cares what others think?

They will just be jealous of your teeth once they come off.

It's fine but if you're really worried about the appearance you can get invisiline which are clear aligners which do the same thing as braces.

My brothers 40 year old wife just got braces a few months ago :P
Nothing to be embarrassed about. They may be a pain and may make you a little self conscious, but it'll benefit you in the end and you'll have a beautiful smile.

This is exactly how I think. It may be a bit of a hassle but the result is worth it. And the sooner you so it the better, so I'd go ahead.
