So over the last few years it's been in my mind and been doing other things that I may have ended up having a career in until I made my mind up. But the last few weeks/months I have been researching it alot and thinking about it more & more since I have a LOT of free time on my hands these days.

It seems like it will be a great life experience and when I realised I could do a computing job for the army after I have done my training I feel like it could be the making of me and I will benefit from it a lot, getting away from here and staying out of trouble and not ending up doing fuck all with my life and finally growing up. I aint gonna lie I am still a tad more immature then most 19 year olds.

Really looking forward to it but it means I need to start training shortly to get fit for the physical evaluations. Wish me luck haha!

Anybody on this with any military experience atall, any short courses or anything to give me an insight into what goes on?

Me, as a nationalist moght end up in the army. Since I know English better than 50% of the country, I might get deployed in UN peacekeeping missions. Serbia's foreign policy is pretty chill, it's "fuck us so we won't fuck you" so I won't be deployed in some pointless war for *insert valuable resource here*. I will apply on the academy for NCO training and I'm gonna aim to get to major at least during my career.

If you're joining the army then they will try to discipline you, usually by getting you to follow orders as soon as they are said. You might lose that immaturity soon... ;)

I think it's great if you want to join the army, because it really does help you in many ways. This is what I have been told by several people that joined the army and came back. Not only did they say that they got disciplined, learned about the world, but also met new people and gained a better perspective on people an the world around them.

Ultimately, it's up to you, and perhaps doing some research on the pros and cons on joining the army would really help you decide :)
