Guys and girls both do their fair share of leading people on deliberately even though they aren't interested so I've came to the point of asking the question, why do some people do it? What is the reason for it, it's morally wrong if you ask me and can leave people feeling very low!!

Some people are starving for that kind of attention, or just like to be in control of situations like that. I think it's messed up too. I would never do that to somebody, but I know a person or two would have/would.

Some people only want certain things from people and when they get enough they move on they do it anyway they can. Some do it just to feel something. Its just how they are

It's usually either for attention purposes, they are using you for something, or or they don't have the balls to say they aren't interested. It's pretty heartbreaking. Especially being a person who was put through that.

This is the clear answer. I've seen it countless times, and I can proudly say that I don't do this, but have done it in the past. People love attention, and if it's not attention, then people love power. How does someone feel when they have people chasing after them, when they have people doing things for them that makes them feel like they are special? They feel that they have power over the other person, they feel that they are so important, and they feel that they are the center of the world.

It's normal for human beings to feel like this, and to like those feelings (for most), but it's wrong to gain those feelings from such a method that is morally wrong as you said, and plain mean and heartless.

People always want to benefit, and this is just another way of greed and self-benefit at the cost of others' feelings, emotions, and mental stability.
