So over the past 2 years I've lost a total of 70lbs. The before picture was taken in May of this year (2014), & I weighed 160lbs. This is pretty much how much I weighed/looked until September. I was so done w/ being disgusted by my body, so I decided to start exercising. I joined my school's cross country team, & over the course of 3 months I've lost 16lbs. It's such an amazing feeling to finally be comfortable with my body. I still have a long way to go, but this reassures me that hard work pays off.
While my weight loss has been mostly positive for me, there are a few ways it's effected me in a negative way. One of the biggest drawbacks is the fact that I lost a ton of my hair, I mean a shit load of hair. This is from losing weight too quickly, not eating enough protein, & lupus also has an effect on my hair. I've also noticed that my skin is slightly more aged, like my eyes have some crows feet & I also lost some of the fat under my eyes. If you're trying to lose weight, be sure you're eating plenty, especially if you're active. That's my problem, I don't eat enough to keep up with my body. I've recently been eating more proteins & incorporated a lot more fresh food into my diet.
But yeah, just thought I'd share my good news, & I really hope I encourage some of you guys to be more active! If my fat, lazy ass can do it, you can too! :P
