View Full Version : Does He Really Hate It?

Since last year, it was a recurring thing how I would take my crush/best friend's eraser and hide it somewhere (ex. in my pocket, under something). Three days ago in class, I took his eraser and my friend & I decided to hide it in her sweater sleeve. He knew I took it & came over and asked me to give it to him. I told him I didn't have it and he said I knew where it was & wanted me to give him the exact location of it. I told him I didn't know where it was while both my friend & I were laughing. He kept poking my arm playfully telling me to give it to him while my friend kept laughing. I told her "Don't worry, he does this a lot" to which he replied "That's because she always takes my eraser and I hate it."

But the whole time this was happening, & every other time something like this has happened, he's always had this big goofy grin on his face & always plays along when I take his eraser (and give it back after a little bit) including playfully wrestling with me for it.

So, I'm wondering, does he really actually hate when I take his eraser, or is he just saying that?

was he angry when he said it? maybe he does, maybe it was just a bad day, maybe he was just saying it

It sounds more like a jokeful kind of "I hate it." If he plays along with it and doesn't appear to be upset, then I don't think he meant anything out of it. If he was actually annoyed by you doing this, he would probably say or do something seriously to let you know instead of just saying "I hate it" while smiling.

If he was smiling and such while saying it, I would say he was being facetious. Unless he really seemed upset. Next time you see him, just ask him.

Agree with this. You did say that he has a grin, so I doubt he really does hate it, he may just say he hates it in a playful way too since both of you know it's playful.

might of just been a bad day or he was really busy with something and really needed it for whatever reason
