Could I have appendicitis?

This is embarrassing ok, so I haven't gone poop in days, my stomach has been hurting off and on, My stomach feels stiff, but it doesn't look bloated, My stomach is making weird noises, I can't go to the bathroom it won't come out, and I've been having gas. Could I have appendicitis or maybe I'm constipated? :confused: I'm really scared of the pain and I've heard you can die from appendicitis, Help! :(

only a doctor would be able to tell you what you have. I suggest you go to one. That sounds definitely abnormal.

I would probably play it safe and find out what's wrong, go see a physician. It could just be indigestion or a stomach virus but go to the doctor if this is making you uncomfortable and if you feel ill, they will be able to help you.

Well; most likely it is just constipation. After days without a bowel movement...that's pretty much a given.
I think if I were you I would consider trying the self-medication method of your choice.....give it another 24 hours...and if you haven't had a decent poop by then I would tell a nurse at school or whoever is available to you.

That's assuming that the level of pain and/or the presence of a fever hasn't changed since you posted.

Interesting; my cousin works at the ER at a hospital....and he was just telling us the story last week about how common it actually is for parents to bring in their kid complaining of abdominal pain......the parents convinced that it's appendicitis.

The doctor asks the kid when he last pooped.....orders an enema....and everyone goes home happy.

Best to play it safe though.

Appendicitis is usually accompanied by vomiting. It just sounds like you have constipation.
