Hey!

When I was younger, probably around the age of 12 or 13, I was overweight... Not obese, but where my stomach would really stick out, where I had a frog-like double chin and 'boobs'. I decided to change my lifestyle, and 2 years later I'm thin with slight abs, pecks, actual biceps -- pretty much muscle mass and much less fat. HOWEVER, THERE IS ONE PROBLEM THAT REALLY MAKES ME MAD!

The problem is stretch marks. Since I was overweight, I did have stretch marks and whatnot. Now, with a better body (I still have some fat and I'm still in the process of losing some more weight), I have my stretch marks still! They are on my butt, calves, thighs, hips, and shoulder blade area near the armpit! This really bugs me.

I want to know how to get rid of these stretch marks... I wanna look at myself and smile everyday without any 'imperfections' in my view. I wanna look like somebody who has always been fit and active! I wanna be able to walk shirtless in public (pool, beach, etc.) without being embarssed by my white and pink and purple stretch marks.

I know some people may say that I just have to wait, but it has been 3 years and I lost lots of my excess skin, but I still don't know why I have these annoying marks!

My main point is: I will really deeply appreciate if someone could give me advice on how to get rid of these stretch marks for good.

Thanks so much! ;)

Why would ya want to get rid of stretch marks? They're awesome lightning tattoos! :D

I see 2 problems here. Either the stretch marks being present, or your uncomfortableness of them. You could solve either. Stretch marks are fine, and just about everyone has them.
Or you can Google how to get rid of them. I don't know how to do that besides laser surgery.

Yeah, there is surgery but I highly doubt you'll spend that much money to get rid of them.

I'm not sure if it works because I myself have never used it before, but I do know there are many serums and creams which can smooth out (Is that the right word?) stretch marks. My sisters got it, but she's never dedicated enough to use it.

They can be quite hefty though. About 30-40 dollars (Australian) for a large bottle. If you're willing to spend that type of money and put it on day and night for at least 3 months, then yeah, I'm sure it'll at least decrease the visibility of those stretch marks.

I hope that helped.

I have stretch marks on my thighs and on my boobs, and honestly they don't bother me. I think there are certain creams and lotions that help to get rid of them, but there's nothing wrong with having stretch marks, almost every girl or woman has them!

one need not be overweight to hv strech marks...the are due to weight gain..I used to be 48kg and skinny as hell..but in 2.5 yrs have gone up from 46 to 65 kg..(mainly cos my GF wanted me to put on some).I am normal weight...I got stretch marks in my belly, lower back (love handle area), upper thighs and butt..They correspond to the areas where most of my new weight settled. ...so those are due to rapid weight gain.

Really, from a gay guy, it doesn't matter to me. As long as your face is cute ;)

But really if someone doesn't like you because you have stretch marks, they are not worth your time anyway. I know that probably isn't helping much, but it is my two cents.

Yea I'm loosing weight now and I've always worried about this. I've read that coconut oil and/or aloe can help fade scares and stretch marks if you apply every day.

I got them all over my back just from growing too tall way too fast. Like an inch every month for a year and a half. So they're not like a sign you were fat, just that you made a drastic change in size. Mostly every guy I know my age has them, so theyre actually seen as almost a good thing here. Almost.
