So yeah the question is in the title,

I know it grows back quicker and thicker after shaving,

but what about trimming/cutting with scissors? This is leaving like half a cm of hair left.

This regards mostly pubic hair, but also with armpit hair, since I dislike shaving either.

Thank you,

regards

"I know it grows back quicker and thicker after shaving."

False, that's just a myth.

Regardless if you shave or trim, hair will grow at the same rate.
Shaving means you remove hair near the follicle, and trimming just leaves a certain amount that isn't too long and all over the place (freshly groomed).

If you still want some hair to show, then go with trimming, if not, then shaving.

Actually, according to scientific study, the whole "your hair grows back faster and thicker after shaving" thing is completely false. So both ways would be equal, depending on how close of a shave it is

Good point here. I agree.

This is true.

Hair may appear to grow back a little thicker after shaving because as hair grows, and the tip of the hair dies it gradually tapers down to a thinner point at the end, when you cut off the thinner point you're left with the thicker body, that you cut a flat edge at the end of. So while it may appear to look thicker, or appear to grow back faster, it's actually not.
