My current pc is extremely old and because of this i can't play the games my friends play.

I've been looking around for a "cheap"-ish, but still "okay" gaming setup, this is what i ended up with:

Graphic card:
Nvidea GTX 750 TI 2GB
RAM:
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 8 (2x4) GB
Motherboard:
ASUS m5A78L-M/USB3
Cooler:
Cooler Master Hyper Tx3 Evo
Case:
Cooler Master K380
CPU:
AMD FX-6400 Black Edition
Hard drive:
Seagate Desktop HDD ST 2000 DM001
WiFi card or whatever it's called- not quite sure if this thing is nessecary
TP-Link TL-WIV881ND
Power supply:
Cooler Master GM G750M

and if necessary, a CM Storm Devastator input (keyboard+mouse) combination.

It's just... all of this combined is a bit expensive, and i'd like to get something cheaper, but i still have to be able to play all the "latest" games with my friends- the worst part is, i know little to nothing about PC hardware!

If anyone could help me or has any advice on how to make this setup cheaper but still having good performance, it would be greatly appreciated!

Have you got a fixed budget? If so I can really help you out:)

I'm not quite certain. I have about 550 euro on my bank account and my father is willing to pay (although i don't know how much).

The current setup is ~602,- euro.

Do you like AMD or Intel to begin with?

Do you like AMD or Intel to begin with?

Because Intel is known for great prices.... -_-

That set up is basically the minimum you'll want for gaming anyway, anything less than that is kind of underpowered,

The two important thongs are Graphics Card and CPU, spend most of the budget on that, basically everything else can be on the cheap side. Case is a good place to save money, so long as your not planning too stare at it all day it doesn't matter what it looks like, Mother bored, again, pointless to buy an expensive one for your needs, hard drive, so long as its 7200rpm it'll be good enough,

Just spend most of the budget on those two things and everything else can be basically cheap as you want

Intel is pricey, but they are great with how powerful they are. They also have great mobos for great prices. Always get a good motherbored because the cheaper they are, the cheaper they are made.. I have experienced that. Giggabite and ASUS are always great. Msi and others are also good, but are different. I would recommend an Intel i5. less then $200. Also with your budget a 150 or less mobo should be good, nothing crazy, but something good and will last.
