View Full Version : Your Life

I've always wondered, why was I born into such a blessed life? I have no needs, 3 meals a day, safety, love. There are other people in the world who fear for their safety everyday. Who go a day without eating. No house.
I don't know, it just seems like life is so unfair. It could be so much worse.
Am I the only person who thinks about this?

All I can say is I know exactly how you feel.

I try not to get caught up in the endless guilt cycle- while I may have an advantage over others, I DO have problems of my own, and if I am rendered helpless by guilt, I am of use to no one.
So yeah, while I fucking hate that there are people out there in shit situations, I know that I can't do a damn thing about it. And I'm not gonna beat myself up over it.
I can't change the world overnight, and I'm never going to try to. What I can change is me. And god am I trying. (At a snail's pace, but nevertheless, trying) I just try to help out people along the way when I can, you know? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ That right there is a change you can make.

Agreed.
But I wasn't necessarily saying "boohoo life is so sad". I was saying more do you ever wonder why you were born into the situation you were, why you're the person you are?

I try not to think too much about it. I just feel damn unworthy every time.

The universe is pretty random if you ask me. There's probably no reason why you were born into your circumstances in particular. Nor is there a reason why less fortunate people were born into their own circumstances. Obviously its unfair, but that's the state of the world. Could it be changed? Maybe. Could you help change things? Certainly, if you feel strongly enough about this. Feel like I should have another meaningful sentence here but alas I cannot think of one.

We humans are selfish in our thinking.
our bodies form -> our brains develop -> our minds start to work
what we think
our bodies form -> our brains develop -> we are born / are minds enter our body

My life is far from nice, but it could be worse I suppose.

It sure is.
My life is far from nice, but it could be worse I suppose.
It can always be worse.
I don't know, it just seems like life is so unfair. It could be so much worse.
Life is unfair.

It is just the way it is. I try not to complain as I was very privileged to have grown and been brought up to somewhat a society that agrees with my character. Family and friends who love and support me.

I definitely understand what you said, I often wonder to myself, "how did I get so fortuitous? It's not as if I deserve to live like this." But I inculpate it on chance and probability as I conventionally do.
Everyone has quandaries, but they vary in degrees. I for one don't have to ask myself where my next repast will come from or will I have clean water anon? My issues, which I treat with the same level of paramountcy, are mostly what we tend to refer to as, "first world problems."
I authentically misprize my life, but I know someone somewhere has it worse by a tenfold and there is nothing that can be done...

I've asked myself the same thing. I guess it's just how it is, so why not make the best of it?
