View Full Version : Coffee and Seizures?

Ok so I drank a cup of coffee about half an hour ago maybe? I'm having serious tremors in my arms, and I can't focus. I feel kinda like I could have a full blown seizure, but I'm not sure.
I'm fairly certain I'm not caffeine-addicted (though this does feel like withdrawal), and I'm on anticonvulsants already
The only other thing I can think of is maybe from low blood sugar? I have problems with it and I haven't eaten a lot today.
I rarely have seizures so this seems directly triggered. Any suggestions?

Cafiene will actualy cause hypoglycemia in a lot of cases,
so combine too little to eat+caffeine, your blood sugar levels will most likely plummet,
especialy if you're sensitive to hypoglycemia in the first place.
Btw, not saying it's not a seizure, could be as I have no experience with that. This is just me writing from personal experience.

Seizures are serious shit... I have a history of them. Make sure you are around people if you think you will have a seizure.

Ahh, I didn't know that. Thanks. I'll have to eat more carbs with my coffee next time.

My mom is always close by, so I'm never too worried about that, but thank you

Well it is a hot liquid so maybe that's it, I always get really full from tea as well and that has no calories.

just be careful, it is nice to have something on the stomach with caffeine. can always ask a doctor or someone at school for more info

I might have to ask a doctor; I don't go to school.
