Just relax. The doctor won't do anything inappropriate, and will be doing their best to finish the exam quickly with minimal embarrassment to you. If you're worried, you can always bring your mom in to the exam with you; sometimes it helps to have someone you trust with you. Just remember that the doctor isn't trying to hurt you or embarrass you, this is simply to make sure you're healthy. :)

yeah, but i don't like to change infront of my mom so it wouldn't help. I do know they wouldn't do bad stuff its just kind of....awkward.

Telling the doctor about her discomfort won't change the exam though. If the breasts are being checked it's not just for giggles, it's to be sure they're developing correctly and/or to screen for cancer (though admittedly, the risk of cancer in younger girls is slim. It's still good to be safe, and the doctor may even be showing chelsea how to screen herself in-between check-ups, which is important). Chealsea, telling the doctor will make them aware of their discomfort so they'll try to not make you feel worse. You can ask them to tell you what they're going to do before they do it, so nothing surprises you, if that helps. All-in-all though, you just need to go to the appointment and get it over with. Afterwards, you'll be fine, and you'll know what to expect next time. it shouldn't be a big deal. :)

You should be fine. Just remain calm and remember that its for your health and it will be short! You should do great! Good luck! :D

It's not a big deal and the doctor will prolly talk to you about other things like sports if that's something you're into just to keep your mind off what's happening.

I know how u feel b/c i feel the same way when i see my dr. i'm guessing ur dr is a guy? mine is & i've told him i feel uncomfortable. Dont be afraid to tell him how u feel... he wont be offended... he will probably tell you that its normal for young girls to feel that way... what he does for me usually, is brings in one of the nurses when he's examining me & it makes me feel better... ask ur dr if he can do that for u! it might help!

For some reason I also get nervous about stuff like that! But the Dr is always super professional and makes sure not to make it weird. Hope it’s a girl Dr tho!
